How to believe in God?

If a person asks himself such a question, then God has already settled in his heart. But he still did not realize this, did not feel it. Let's talk about Faith.

Faith is a recognition of something without reliable facts. In this case, the recognition of truth. Maybe it's the word itself. Let's look for the words with the same root, the word "Faith." Here they are: fidelity, confidence, trust. Let's look at the word Fidelity. Where it can be applied, or in what phrases. Fidelity to their work, marital fidelity, confidence in the future. Do you know that in the religious aspect the parallelism of marital fidelity with fidelity to the Lord is drawn? If you can’t be faithful to the person you saw and know. Can you really be faithful to God, whom you have never seen or heard. But now is not about that. Let us return to the concept of “Faith” and how to find it.

It is sometimes difficult to believe when you see so much evil, injustice, hatred, falsehood, immorality, and much, much more.

Yesterday I saw with my own eyes, returning from work, how one homeless man covered the second, with some kind of black film, looking around. It was in the morning, near the metro, where it was full of people. Of course, they themselves are to blame for reaching such a thing, but they are people. After all, they too, once were children. Maybe we have become too harsh towards our neighbor? Are you sure that if you fall tomorrow and lose consciousness, then they will pay attention to you? Of course, one must believe in the good that remains on earth and multiply it. And being in these thoughts, you often ask yourself: “Is man created in the image and likeness of God or not”.

If so, why is it not so easy for us to believe in him. Why are not previous generations convincing us, and all the stories related to the martyrs, people who died for the Lord. And all the stories related to this.

“Be perfect as your God is” - these are the words of Christ. But how far we are from perfection, we at least just be “People”, in the true sense of the word.

The Lord, realizing that it is very difficult for us to be perfect, gave us only ten commandments, which will certainly make us better and cleaner. Many people think this is commonplace, and I’ll ask them: “Have you tried living according to the commandments?”

Yes, there are only ten of them, "Only ten." Try it, and your life will certainly change, everything ingenious is simple, but not easy to understand. And you try and you will succeed.

Every day a huge stream of information falls upon us. And we now and then have to choose, defend, and weed out, defining one from the other. But the choice is what the Lord has commanded us, for all time. The choice that we always have, what to do, what to say and make. A sense of choice is given to us from above. But, there are reflexes. Which, whether we like it or not, remind us that we should: eat, drink, sleep, etc.

All our lives, we live between good and evil, between black and white, between moral and immoral. Between mind and body. But, all of us are united by one. We are “People” and are created in the image and likeness of God. And on this basis, that the Lord leaves us the right to choose, and not otherwise. That any Divine presence in our lives will have two different, opposite aspects, thus the Lord leaves the choice for us.

So that we ourselves can make a choice. Believe us in God or not. And what kind of “Faith” will it be if we see, or hear, or somehow become convinced of His existence. This will not be “Faith”, but “Knowledge”, and these are two different things. And so once again I want to repeat that any Divine manifestation in our lives. Will always have a different explanation. Otherwise, we will not have the right to choose. And God cannot leave us WITHOUT THE RIGHT OF CHOICE.

Just everyone needs to know what will happen next? If, hypothetically, I go up to a person and tell him that after his death he acquires a new life. And so it will be an infinite number of times, and I show evidence to him. How do you think what a person will be capable of, and what actions. In fact. He can do what the soul wants ... Maybe he can kill people and rob and not follow God's laws, I think you understand, we should not be worried about what will happen to us somewhere in hell then, but I'm about to happen now, but people can’t live in literally, we only think about how we live

Sly fraud is hidden in the question itself: “I am a man of ... logical thinking, criticizing everything. And, as a result, I absolutely do not believe in God. "
Firstly, disbelief in God is not the result of logical thinking. I am talking about logic as a science, and not a “sofa” logic, in which all the masters. It is enough to study at least ancient philosophy, so that all everyday logic will be shaken like a house of cards. Finally, admit that in the vast majority of natural science questions, recognizing the fundamental role of God is much more logical than piling one theory on another so unlikely that only mathematicians know such small quantities.
Secondly, if you “criticize everything”, then why not criticize your own thinking, education and positivism as a scientific method?
Start learning theology. Since you have such a mentality, start with modern theology, from the level of a theological academy, and thus go from complex to simple, from textbooks of basic theology, dogma, asceticism, and so on. to “be like children.”

This applies to all atheists and believers - people have a lot of questions - if God is, then why is life so arranged? Why is someone healthy, happy, successful, rich, handsome, etc., and someone on the contrary barely exists in any way. The sea is incomprehensible in religion, in history, in his own life. Where is justice, what is actually happiness, what does my soul, mind, body want (who cares). Shorter than white spots, most of all among the answers - the picture does not grow together. Probably the happier and more successful a healthy person is, the less he cares about it and vice versa, the problematic person will think about it sooner. Although if he does not find a way out of the situation and the problems do not go away, but only grow - in age - worries, health - what did these thoughts give him? Anger, cynicism? Or maybe religious fanaticism? This is the question - why, for example, is a person almost holy, and he is wearing glasses - so that he does not look too close or too far? Why would the Lord not give him grace by sight? I dont know. The only thing that really keeps me faithful is why was I born? To exist as a biological object and sink into oblivion? And why then all the fuss? For what? Reason, evolution, desires, feelings, memory, conscience and morality?
